Who is responsible for your data
This website is operated under the name ByteGeist at https://bytegeist.co. For data protection purposes, ByteGeist is the controller of personal data described here, unless we tell you otherwise in a separate client agreement.
Privacy contact (all requests and questions): mitch.davey@bytegeist.co.
What we collect
- Application data — what you enter in our qualification form (for example name, email, phone, company, and business-fit answers).
- Booking data — information you give Calendly when scheduling a call.
- Cookie choices — your consent preferences and related timestamps.
- Usage data — technical and analytics data (such as pages viewed and device type) when you allow analytics cookies.
The site is for business users. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
How we use it
We use data to run the site, review applications, schedule and hold sales calls, honor your cookie choices, improve the site, and comply with law. Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on consent (non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (operating and securing the site and assessing commercial fit), and steps before a contract when you apply or book.
Service providers
We use providers that process data on our instructions, including:
- Cloudflare (hosting and security)
- HubSpot (CRM and application records)
- Calendly (scheduling)
- PostHog and Google Analytics (analytics, only after you opt in)
We do not sell personal information. Their privacy policies apply to data they process on their systems.
Cookies
Essential cookies run the site and remember your consent choice. Analytics (GA4, PostHog) and advertising tags (such as Meta Pixel, if enabled later) stay off until you opt in. Change your choice anytime via Cookie settings in the footer.
International transfers
Some providers process data in the United States and other countries. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including while we evaluate or work with you and as required for legal or operational reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing, and to object or withdraw consent. Email mitch.davey@bytegeist.co. You may also complain to your data protection authority (UK: ICO).
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
